fooey
Hi All, I have a LG Steam washing machine which is about 10 years old. It's served me well throughout the years but recently, it's developed a couple of faults. Every so often, a small amount of water will leak out of the washing machine. During the rinse cycle, the washing machine will make a tremendous racket - it sounds as if the drum is empty bar a few bouncy balls inside. Gently placing my hand on top of the washing machine doesn't make me feel like there's too much side to side movement. I tried spinning the drum when empty by hand and the noise I described was absent. Any ideas? Many thanks. LGwm.mpg
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted October 25, 2018 Root Admin Report Share Posted October 25, 2018 Sorry for late reply. It's probably resolved by now but it sounds like something like the motor or a drum weight is quite loose. With noises you have to take off the lid and back panel and locate where the noise is coming from by listening and observing. Totally disconnect from the mains and shake everything about to identify loose bits or replicate the noise.
