Bosch won't spin after replacing carbon brushes

Recommended Posts

I replaced the carbon brushes on my bosch washing machine yesterday, and now it won't spin.

I think I may have broken off the small metal holding bit that the end of the brush slides into to keep it in place.

Is it possible that the washing machine won't spin because it thinks that the brush isn't in place properly?

How can I resolve this? Should I solder it on to keep it in place? (duc tape didn't work) or can I buy the holder as a spare part?

Thanks!
