Conditioner compartment problem

I have a problem where the compartment that holds the conditioner is full of a mixture of conditioner and water when the wash is complete 

my machine is a hotpoint wmud963

 

its only about 2 years old

Hello Steve. The fabric conditioner problems are covered in my washing machine faults page. Yours sounds like a mix of these faults - Fabric Softener Compartment Full Of Water | Fabric Softener not being taken out
