Dusty
Hi, I have a Hoover Vision HD 9kg 1600 A+AA Super Silent Washing Machine. The machine started making a horrible banging noise and then went BANG! So I moved it out and opened the panel at the back to find the belt had come off and got tangled up with all the wiring mainly to the motor and has ripped all the wiring off so I now do not have any idea what goes where! I can get a replacement belt and fit it myself I just need a wiring diagram, a picture or even a video of the back of my machine so I can fix this as well but can't find anything online so far.... Any ideas?? Thanks, Jason
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted July 27, 2015 Root Admin Report Share Posted July 27, 2015 Unfortunately that sort of information isn't easily found as you've discovered. Most manufacturers don't release wiring diagrams, and many white goods engineers don't even have wiring diagrams because apart from incidents like you describe (which are rare) you virtually never need to use one. Before going much further though I would make sure that the drum bearings haven't gone. It is quite unusual for a drive belt to just come off for no reason. It can happen, but it is also often caused when the drum pulley starts to move if the drum bearings are wearing or have collapsed. (Has the washing machine been noisy recently?) Sometimes a drum pulley can come loose on its own throwing off the belt. You need to try and establish why the belt has come off because if the drum bearings have gone the washing machine maybe scrap anyway and your search for a wiring diagram becomes unnecessary.
