arkatos
They fell out the bottom when I tipped it sideways about 45 degrees to clean under it (yes I know this is a silly thing to do). Was wondering if they are even a part of it or maybe left over from the packing material? Have since checked thoroughly underneath and inside the top with a torch and can't see anywhere that they may have come from, but they were definitely inside somewhere.Model is Bosch Exxcel WVD24520GB washer drier. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t10/arkatos/2015-07-24%2008.07.12_zpshbxzwcu3.jpg http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t10/arkatos/2015-07-24%2008.07.32_zpsb6xc3srq.jpg Thanks. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted July 24, 2015 Root Admin Report Share Posted July 24, 2015 They look a bit too elaborate and colourful to be part of the transit packing but it's always possible I suppose. I've never seen anything like them and I can't imagine them being part of the washing machine that could actually fall off without causing any symptoms. It's hard to judge because there is no scale, but the elaborate colouring makes them look more like kids toys. Need a repair or spare parts? arkatos
They are 6cm long, 2cm wide. Sorry for not including the ruler in the photo. Definately not a toy, the springs are extremely stiff and slightly greasy. Agreed that they seem very out of place and certainly don't seem to be what you'd expect inside a Bosch, especially since they were not bolted on or anything, but they fell out of the machine for sure when I tipped it up so god knows how they got in there if they're not a part of it. I did buy it new and had it installed by the delivery firm (it was free, so why not), so I suppose they could be left by them but seems very odd. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted July 24, 2015 Root Admin Report Share Posted July 24, 2015 Part of the transit packaging is my best guess but like I said before they seem very elaborate in design, colour, and the fact they are using strong springs where most other manufacturers just use bits of plastic. I could understand it if it was a high quality manufacturer like Miele but Bosch are pretty budget these days. Need a repair or spare parts? arkatos
Pretty much what I thought, but wanted to check incase they actually did something important. I'll sling them in a draw and leave it be. Thanks for the advice. Whitegoodshelp (Andy)
