Can Hear A Spring Noise When Washer Is Washing Not Spinning

Hello just got a second hand Hotpoint washer 1100 WM56 when its washing you can hear a spring noise is it anything to worry about or is it normal for hotpoints as don't normally go for Hotpoint washer as hear they have a lot of problems

Without hearing the noise it's difficult to advise, but the first thing I would do is disconnect the washing machine, take off the lid and make sure that the 2 top springs holding the outer drum central in the casing are both properly connected.


Then I would manually bounce the outer drum up and down on its suspension to see if I can reproduce the noise. If you can hear the noise when you do this then at least you know where it is coming from. Whether or not there is a problem is something that you would need to hear in order to be able to judge.
