stevelondon
Hi all. I bought a used Indesit WIDXL126 washer drier about a year ago and pretty much from the start the clothes have been smelling after drying. I know i should have said something to the shop but time went buy and was soon out of warranty.I have tried all the Dr Beckmann products (about three different ones) hoping they would work but they haven't. I have narrowed it down to the drying process. If I take the clothes out straight after the wash they are fine, its once they have finished the drying element they develop a strong dirty, pungent smell. Any ideas as to what this could be and how to eradicate this troublesome odour?? Many thanks, Steve
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted February 25, 2015 Root Admin Report Share Posted February 25, 2015 I've not heard of this as smells tend to come from the plumbing and inside the tub. Also they happen after a long period of grease and gunge build up and not straight away. I can't think of anything likely to only smell on the dryer side. Have you tried using those Bounce dryer strips which add a fragrance to tumble dried laundry? It may not seem an ideal answer but maybe worth a try. Need a repair or spare parts?
