megstermay
Hi I have just purchased an Indesit XWC61651W washing machine however, I cannot override the Push & Wash button (this works fine). For example, I want to do a wool wash, so I put it on No5 with 800 speed & 40 degrees as instructed in the manual. I have not selected the incorrect spin or temp as this model will beep if it is not compatible. The start/pause button blinks and continues to blink after pressing it. There is no delayed start on this model, so it isn't that. Has anyone any suggestions? Thanks
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 13, 2015 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 13, 2015 Is number 5 the woollens cycle? If the machine works fine on other cycles it implies there is an option set somewhere that isn't compatible with the cycle but then if it normally beeps it's a puzzle. There's nothing else I can think of that would stop the cycle from starting only on woollens. Need a repair or spare parts? megstermay
Thanks for replying, yes 5 is the woollen cycle. But I cannot get it to work on any cycle apart from the push & wash cycle, which is preset to 30 degrees with a speed of 1200 rpm. I am not sure if the start/pause is faulty or not. I have sent Indesit an email but it takes up to 3 days for them to reply.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 13, 2015 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 13, 2015 I've never heard of the Push & Wash button but it looks a bit gimmicky. If the wash cycle works ok at preset options but not when you change something then that usually means it won't allow those changes by design. Need a repair or spare parts?
