thebearnecessities Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I have a hoover optima wmh148df-80. The last successful wash was extremely noisy, especially during the spin. Now it won't start a wash at all. The "door security" light just keeps flashing. I've had a look at the common problems section of your website but couldn't find anyhing. Would greatly appreciate it if anyone can help me out because i've spent hours online trying to find manuals and reading threads but im getting nowhere. thanks so much.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted October 29, 2014 Root Admin Posted October 29, 2014 Hi, unfortunately the symptoms are a bit vague and wide-ranging. The two relevant articles are - washing machine won't start up and noisy washing machine. It's very unlikely you will find any manuals other than the instruction book which won't help. There should be enough information in the two articles to get a good idea as long as they are read thoroughly. Need a repair or spare parts? thebearnecessities Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 I took the back off to see if there was anything obviously wrong with the bearings. Couldn't find the bearings but I found 2 bits of broken off concrete and a screw on the floor when I took the back off the machine. so i took the top ff and he concrete block is broken and it taken a chunk of the plastic drum casing with it! so looking in from above i can lok through the hole in the plastic and see the metal of the drum. ive seen a cheap machine i could buy http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/beko-wmb61221w-washing-machine-6kg-1200-spin-free-quick-delivery-plus-4-quidco-148-2032634. but id get the drum replaced on the existing machine if that was possible? any thoughts? your time & expertise is v much appreciated
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted October 29, 2014 Root Admin Posted October 29, 2014 Sounds like it might be beyond economical repair unless you use Hoover's set price repair charges which includes parts but it will be well over £100. It's out of stock that model. Please consider buying from one of my links if possible which helps my sites appliance retailers, offers & codes Need a repair or spare parts?
