nicebrit Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Second washing machine in a week, same problem. Washes Okay, fills up with water Okay, everything works as it should until it gets to rinse, takes forever to start filling, then stops, light blinks, and to press continue. What should be a half hour wash takes longer because I have to keep pressing the start button to continue the wash. Reset machine, water pressure Okay, but so slow to fill. But quick to fill on a wash. Design fault? Digital display. BEKO WMB71231B. never had a problem before with my two last machines, same place, nothing changed. So why problems with this one?
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted August 30, 2014 Root Admin Posted August 30, 2014 Are they hot and cold fill machines? Fault sounds like something to do with a kinked hose or not enough water getting into ,machine and if 2 different machines have same problem it seems likely to be the plumbing. Check any hoses are not kinked and disconnect hoses and put them into sink or bucket and turn water back on to make sure water is running through them properly at good pressure. Taps can be faulty where they stick inside and although turned on aren't actually opening the valve up properly. Need a repair or spare parts? nicebrit Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 Cold water only. No kinks, water drains away Okay, water fills Okay on a wash. Fast. But very slow to fill on a rinse. Checked everything, Beko seems to Think it's a fault with the motherboard. As it fills Okay when washing and it empties Okay.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted September 1, 2014 Root Admin Posted September 1, 2014 Yes it's strange that it would fill OK on wash but not on rinse, which is why I was wondering if it had more than one fill valve. That symptom would often be caused when the machine had 2 valves and one worked ok but the other didn't. Some washers filled with both valves on wash but only the cold on rinse - so if the cold valve was faulty or not getting any water it would still fill on wash through the hot valve but then fail on rinse. If it only has one cold fill supply it could still possibly have 2 valves so it could still be a fault on one solenoid, but if it just has the one valve which works perfectly well on one section but not on another it has to be a supply issue somewhere.
