pitpierce
Hi everyone, i'm having a strange problem with my Ariston avl 145 and i couldn't find my specific problem on the forum or the general advice section. Here's hoping one of the experts can point me in the right direction. When i turn my machine on and start any of the programs, i hear the door lock and (and it locks as normal) the the program wont start. I've tried will all types of programmes, even just pump out programmes or spin. I feel the problem is that even though the door locks the machine doesn't realise this and wont start the cycle. The reason i think this is the fault is because the door lock light doesn't come on even though the door is locked. I've taken the door interlock out and it seems fine ..... even gave it a drop of WD40 in case and like i said the door locks and unlocks as it should. BUT, the bizzarre thing is that yesterday while i was cleaning the pump, filer, hoses etc to find the problem, the machine started working again. however as soon as i put the lid back on and got a wash ready it stopped again. And now it seems totally screwed. Can anyone offer any advice to me?? Regards Pete
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted June 16, 2014 Root Admin Report Share Posted June 16, 2014 When the door interlock operates it does two things, it physically locks the door and then passes power on to the rest of the machine. It's possible a door interlock could mechanically operate but not pass on the power although that's pretty rare. Potentially there could be a connection fault somewhere after the power passed through the interlock. Need a repair or spare parts?
