Jcenax
The drainage pump will not stop. When starting any cycle the pump starts and pumps the water out before it can go in the drum. It's like it's stuck in pump mode and a cycle at the same time. Hotpoint wml520.

Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted August 27, 2013 Root Admin Report Share Posted August 27, 2013 Some pumps have a live feed and run when neutral switched in, it's possible a leak to earth could cause it to run though it should also cause it to trip if on a modern trip board. I've heard of insulation faults causing weird things on some machines. However it could be a pcb fault too. Chances are the pump has a permanent live feed and is switched on by the neutral side, which would explain constantly running. It's also possible I've misinterpreted exactly what's happening as I'm taking your first sentence to mean the pump runs all the time the machine is on. Need a repair or spare parts?
