ians3422
Hi, we've had the machine from new and it's never let us down until recently. It powers up ok but when the door is closed, the main 100mA RCD/ earth leakage circuit breaker at the fuseboard trips out. Could the door lock switch be faulty? Is the machine worth fixing and keeping as a spare or is this one scrap metal too??? Cheers, Ian
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted June 18, 2013 Root Admin Report Share Posted June 18, 2013 Hi Ian. It's possible, but when the door lock operates it sends power to the rest of the machine so it could be anything. To trace a fault where the washing machine is fusing or tripping the electrics you need an insulation test meter which only engineers have. However, there is some help in my article here - washer fuses or trips electrics Need a repair or spare parts?
