Hi All

Can anybody tell me if the thermistor on my machine could go open circuit , I took the heater element out and tested it , it worked ok , put it back in machine and will not heat water , I was thinking as I said open circuit ??. Unless you know better :blink:

The thermistor should have varying resistances depending on the temperature. They usually contain temperature sensitive crystals which change electrical resistance at different temperatures. Therefore they shouldn't be open circuit but it's possible to go faulty, maybe one of the wires inside is no longer making a connection.
