Could somone please tell me what the number is on the power suply chip u8 .It has exploded and canot be read.I have fixed smps in tv's and would like to have a go at this one.Have never used a forum before hope this is ok

Hello. There are never any part numbers for individual components in these things, and you can't buy parts for them. Unlike in brown goods the printed circuit parts are always replaced as a complete part in white goods. If you think you can source an equivalent part from your contacts I appreciate you would need proper information but it's not available unless by some chance someone takes theirs off and has a look which is very much a long shot. You may be able to get it repaired at QER who are one of the few people who recondition washing machine pcbs
