Mould In The Detergent Drawer Compartment

I have a Siemens xl1400 and keep getting mould in the detergent drawer compartment. I regularly pull out the drawer to clean detergent residue but inside the cavity there is lots of black mould.

Any ideas why and how to stop this happening?
