Curious
Washing works fine on this machine, but after an 80 minute drying cycle the clothes come out steaming but still wet. This is with only a small load in the drum. The heating element is working, and I can hear the air pump moving as well. I've already cleaned out the plastic condensing chamber and grill in the back of the drum, so I assumed it was a water solenoid problem with the condensing water flow (similar to another thread in this forum). The flow is only for about 30 seconds, then it stops for about 1 minute. Then the cycle repeats. Surely it should it perhaps flow constantly to allow for better condensation? Thanks. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted June 7, 2006 Root Admin Report Share Posted June 7, 2006 Yes, it sounds like the steam isn't getting condensed into water. The symptoms you describe are typical of a washer dryer that has got no cold water running into the condensing chamber. The fact that water does go in, then stops, but starts again is strange. My experience is that the condensing valve are normally on all the time. I couldn't say for sure on this model, but I can't think of a logical reason why they'd go to the trouble of switching the valve on and off. The valve could be faulty.
