repcosy
Hi This is my first post here and i have read numerous other posts on fowl smells when it comes to washing machines. However i have not come across the issue i am now having. I have recently been suffering with a stale smell that has been affecting my whole house. The clothes have been smelling a little bit if left in longer than two hours however if i take them out straight away they smell lovely. Numerous times i have had to re-wash clothes due to scent not filth. So i washed the inside and outside of my washing machine including filter, draw, rubber lining and door. I then put my machine on for a boil wash with nothing inside to see what would happen. I am now getting a chemically smell. This scent is not affecting the whole house.... i can only smell it in the utility room when my washer is based.... I do not know what to do from here? Could it be the washer itself??? I am still in warrenty but would need to act fast if so. Any help would be greatly appecitated.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted June 5, 2012 Root Admin Report Share Posted June 5, 2012 Can you smell anything with head shoved inside the drum? It's not a known issue to have a "chemical" smell. Need a repair or spare parts?
