Washing Machine Smell Has Changed From One To Another?

Recommended Posts

Hi

This is my first post here and i have read numerous other posts on fowl smells when it comes to washing machines.

However i have not come across the issue i am now having. I have recently been suffering with a stale smell that has been affecting my whole house. The clothes have been smelling a little bit if left in longer than two hours however if i take them out straight away they smell lovely. Numerous times i have had to re-wash clothes due to scent not filth.

So i washed the inside and outside of my washing machine including filter, draw, rubber lining and door. I then put my machine on for a boil wash with nothing inside to see what would happen.

I am now getting a chemically smell.

This scent is not affecting the whole house.... i can only smell it in the utility room when my washer is based....

I do not know what to do from here?

Could it be the washer itself??? I am still in warrenty but would need to act fast if so.

Any help would be greatly appecitated.

Can you smell anything with head shoved inside the drum? It's not a known issue to have a "chemical" smell.

Try doing a few more hot washes with no washing in. Washing machine smells
