Hi, All. Had an interesting job yesterday. Got a call to a noisy Indesit washing machine yesterday and indeed it was very noisy. It appears that the seal on the drum spindle has failed allowing water to get into the bearing and has completely ruined the bearing with a fair amount of rusty stainage staining emanating from bearing housing, collecting on the floor below the machine. Went to the store to get a new machine (a Beko one) still in its original packaging and moved it down to the customer. Unwrapped it only to discover the glass in the door smashed to smithereens. Bugger. Then the thought occurred: would the old door glass happen to fit the …

We had an Indesit moon for about 10 years now. It did not get a lot of hard use only used the weekends. It was not overloaded. I would like to warn anyone on these machines on that ours nearly set on fire. It was used a couple of times the day before and was all fine. Loaded it up the next day and when returned to take clothes out after, it was showing no lights on the dial, but there was steam and smoke coming over the top of the machine. I immediately switched of at the plug but and opened the door after a few minutes. All the cloths ofc were ruined the heat coming from it was immense, I could feel the heat though our stair case which the machine was placed under. …

Just wondered if any one had any experience or knowledge of the new Indesit Moon Washing machine? I'm also impressed by Currys take away your old and connect your new machine:anywhere else offer this service? GREAt site,by the way! My present Washing machine is a Candy Domino 4:bought 20 years ago and never broken down but now seems to be shrinking clothes slightly
