Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted May 25, 2012 Root Admin Posted May 25, 2012 Is everything ok with the actual door catch on the door? Is it in place, undamaged and is the spring holding it in place? Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted May 25, 2012 Root Admin Posted May 25, 2012 You can get strange symptoms with earth faults on washing machines these days, but haven't come across this one. michealw23 Posted May 25, 2012 Author Posted May 25, 2012 i don't know a lot about electrics. i was thinking it might be the control module but they are expensive and as far as im aware they don't come programmed, so that would cost extra again. Just need to be sure there's nothing else i could try before spending a fortune.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted May 25, 2012 Root Admin Posted May 25, 2012 The door interlock is normally just a bi-metal device which is two strips of metal that bend at different temperatures. A coil wrapped round it is energised and the metal strip bends making a physical connection. A continuous clicking sounds more like a relay. Need a repair or spare parts?
