Desperately hoping Andy is around to answer this! He seems to sort everyone out.

Our dial seems to be the problem...selecting C or D, there is a noise like the programme is starting but thats it. No water, the drum won't fill and there's just a constant 'hum' as if it's trying to do something.

If you turn the dial by a couple of millimetres then it will start to work properly...but then its on E which is the next programme!! So basically we don't have a programme that washes above 50degrees :(

Help!!

Thanks,

Gus

Hello Biggus. A humming noise could be the water valve trying to take in water. If yours is a hot and cold fill washing machine check out this help topic first

Washing machine won't fill with water (or no water goes into washing machine)

If it's only a cold fill washing machine then the fact that it fills on one programme but not another is less easily explained.

Hi Andy - thanks for taking the time to reply. The machine is a cold fill only.

It's really annoying as we now can't wash anything over 50degrees. Any ideas? Or are we b*ggered?

Cheers

Gus

I would check you don;t still have 2 fill valves. It's possible the cold fill is still spit over 2 valves and one is blocked or not getting enough water somehow.
