simonjanda Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Hiya We have a Idesit washing machine .. not sure of model but it has this on it.. WIXL163. The actual machine works fine but our clothes always have a stagnant smell to them when we take them out the machine. The clothes are not left in there, we take them out straight away. We use softener but it makes no difference. I am at a loss as to why this is hence joining this forum in the hope that some one has an answer.
simonjanda Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 I think I've solved the problem. I did look at other threads on here and there seemed to be a lot of finger pointing at clogged outlets etc. Anyhow I took the machine out, turned it on its side to access the water pump. Basically the hose leading from the drum to the pump was thick with black stuff. Cleaned it out, gonna run a boil wash with some sterilization tablets through it and see how it goes.
