It sounds like a metal foreign object may have got inside the machine and caused the damage. Coins and other objects commonly get in between the outer tub and inner drum. On normal washing machines this can result in a hole being punched in the outer tub which is nearly always plastic. As Miele have a stainless steel outer tub it's more likely to damage the inner drum.

Miele parts can be extremely expensive and difficult to find. Few people stock many Miele parts because they are generally pretty reliable so there's less demand for them than any other make, and they can't make much of a profit due to Miele being very stingy with trade discounts.

A quick search on a very prominent spares site (espares) shows they don't stock a single Miele drum. Checking on the spares site I use 4washerhelp.co.uk shows 4 Miele drums with prices of £384, £258, £332, £330. Only one is available for immediate delivery and none are listed for your model but they should be able to order one for you. As you can imagine it's not really a diy job, and will be an expensive repair to have done. If you have accidental damage insurance on the house contents it may be something you could claim for.
