Electrolux

Recommended Posts

We are looking at replacing our Hoover with another 5 / 6 kg front loading automatic. Our options are:

Electolux, 6 kg. Has a timer facility which I really do need.

Bosch and Siemens do not have the timer facility.

LG has a model which is loaded with features but it is made in China and is ridiculously cheap. The price made us nervous and we struck this off our list.

I am in favour of the Electrolux model. Its just that I don't know much about Electrolux. Advice welcome,

Thanks

Electrolux make decent washing machines. They also own AEG and Zanussi amongst many other brands.

Would you recommend we buy the Electrolux?

AEG and Zanussi are good brands. But Siemens make Hotpoint too if I remember right and Hotpoint is a brand to be avoided. I hope Electrolux is not the Hotpoint of Electrolux!

The other options would be Bosch, Siemens or Maytag. All three have comparable features to the Electrolux but without the delay time facility

As far as I'm aware an Electrolux should be as good as an AEG / Zanussi. I could be wrong but I thought the Electrolux brand is their flagship brand and could even be slightly better than AEG. Siemens make Bosch. Hotpoint are owned by Merloni who also make Creda, Indesit, Ariston etc. Who makes which washing machine?
