asandrews Posted August 14, 2025 Posted August 14, 2025 Hi, I noticed the kitchen getting very humid when using the dryer. It is still washing and drying clothes adequately. On inspection very hot air / steam is constantly venting from the short rubber vent pipe on the top of the blower manifold. I have cleaned out a lot of fibres from the plastic condenser through the top opening (beneath the fan) with a drain snake (dry from the top, wet from the bottom) but it hasn't helped. The pump appears clear. Grateful for suggestions as to what to try next, thanks.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted August 20, 2025 Root Admin Posted August 20, 2025 Hi. It's unusual to have symptoms but the appliance seems to be working OK. The only thing I can speculate on is a problem with condensing. However, this would normally leave laundry hot but still wet. Combined washer dryers are condenser dryers so the steam created by the drying process should hit a small trickle of constantly running cold water in the condenser chamber and condense into water. It sounds like maybe it isn't doing that. Normally, after a while this will cause a sensor to trip out. Need a repair or spare parts?
