Miele WWI660 water under machine.

I noticed water beneath my Miele WWI660. After pulling the machine out slightly, I couldn’t find any water behind it, and all the hoses appeared dry. While cleaning the filter, I discovered a couple of springs lodged inside.

Once again, I noticed water pooling, seemingly toward the centre of the machine. To confirm it was coming from the appliance, I placed a paper towel underneath. From the way the towel became wet, it seems the leak originates from the drainage pump area.

I plan to pull the machine out again to locate the source of the issue. Could anyone provide assistance or guidance? Could it be caused by a faulty hose connection to the drainage pump? Or possibly a damaged seal or drum? If the leak is coming from the bottom, why hasn’t the leak detector switch activated (assuming the machine has one)? Will I need to disassemble the machine?

Recently, the appliance was making a lot of noise and even shifted slightly during use. I adjusted and levelled it, which significantly improved its stability and performance, returning it to how it was when initially installed. Could its previous instability or movement—or me relocating the machine—have loosened or damaged a component?

Hi. Miele washing machines have a metal or plastic base underneath, so it would catch water from a leak. The pool of water may then slowly seep out somehow. If it was a biggish leak then it should trigger leak detection, which is installed in the base. So it sounds like it's quite a small leak at the moment at least.

Using paper can give a guide, but the only way to detect the leak is to physically inspect the machine. I do have many tips in this article here - Why is my washing machine leaking from underneath?
