Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted October 11, 2024 Root Admin Posted October 11, 2024 Hi. That's likely to be an error code but error codes are usually kept secret by the manufacturers. Some error codes are shown on the manufacturers websites, though the mostly just say to book an engineer. With the lock sign showing in red it might be worth checking the door and latch are working properly and checking instruction book. Need a repair or spare parts? Reading on the internet, it is mentioned that for appliances that don't have an LCD screen, the error codes are presented in binary and read from bottom to top, if that is true then the code is 2^5+2^0 = 33. Searching on the web it is mentioned it could be the locking mechanism, I replaced it, but still the error. I'd appreciate any help in knowing what the problem could be in order to decide whether to buy another one, this one is just 4 years old and bought from new.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted October 14, 2024 Root Admin Posted October 14, 2024 Hi, I don't recognise that method of working out an error code. They are indicated by which lights are flashing against a chart. eg. 1 and 4 = "????" A lot of error codes just aren't mentioned. Check out the instruction manual and also double check that the delay start feature or child-lock isn't accidentally activated. Need a repair or spare parts?
