John Lewis give 2 year guarantee on white goods appliances

I put my machine on this morning, it was quite loud and making a squeaking noise as if something is rubbing.

I tried to force the cycle to complete and now it's stuck. I've turned it off at the mans but it just goes back to the cycle.

I've tired changing the cycle again no joy. At one point I got the door open, the clothes were wet (obviously) and the drum could not move when it would do normally.

Any ideas please?

Sounds like the drum is jammed. If it's been very noisy recently, the drum bearings could have failed but if not something could have gone inside and jammed it up, or some item of laundry could have got stuck between the front lip of the drum and the back of the door seal.
