My machine was on it's final spin and began making a noise I haven't heard before. Just as I went to switch it off it started to smoke from the back of the machine. Picture added for reference. The belt looks fine, though, any help would be great. You can see the area where the smoke has came from. Thanks in advance.

Has it been noisy? If you take the belt off and spin the drum by hand is it noisy or stiff?

Hi Andy,

No, there doesn't seem to be any issues with the drum. I've rebalanced the machine and centred the belt again. Thinking that I might try it again and see if that was all it was! What do you reckon?

Hi. Something must have happened. Therr might be an obstruction that temporarily jammed the drum.

Is there any damage on the belt like a burned patch?

Absolutely not a mark on the belt at all 🤷‍♀️

That would happen if the drum had jammed and motor continued to run. Are you sure the black is burn marks and not dirt or bits of rubber from the belt?
