Mike55 Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 (edited) Hello. I'm wondering if anyone can help please. I have an LG direct drive (Inverter) machine, approx two years old. When filling the machine, the fill stops and starts half a dozen times before continuously filling to the correct fill amount. My question is, why does the fill stop and start? It fills for a second or two then stops, then the same again and so on until filling as normal. It has done this since new. I don't think this is normal but any help appreciated. Thanks, Mike Edited October 18, 2020 by Mike55 Added to post
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted October 19, 2020 Root Admin Posted October 19, 2020 Hello Mike. If it's done it since the beginning and hasn't changed in 2 years then it seems unlikely to be a fault. It is normal for a washing machine to fill up with water for several seconds whilst energising the water pump to sort of just flush things through a bit before starting properly. Normally if it keeps stopping might indicate a poor connection on the water valve but you would have expected by now that it would have packed in properly was that. Need a repair or spare parts?
