Error 17 Beko washing machine. Stuck on play

Hi, I have a Beko wmi71641

A few days ago I tried to out on a wash but it wouldn’t start.

pressing the play/pause button does nothing.

i turned off the appliance and put the dial to the 12 o’clock position with the play/pause button pressed. I received the error code 17.

the advice online is to do a few rinse cycles but I can’t reset the machine to start a new programme.

the machine is still stuck on the flashing play icon.

i have checked the filter and cleared a few coins and water. All clear now.
 

would anyone know what the next steps would be for this problem
