Clothes Are Stuck In Washing Machine

I have a Hoover Softwave 1100. My clothes are stuck in the washing machine and the door will not open. I donn;t think the machine went through the spin cycle. Please let me know how to open the door and get my clothes out before they rot in there.

There is some general help on this on the main Washerhelp site. If it hasn't emptied the water properly it will stop the door opening on this model.
