Indesit issue

Hi there,

We have an Indesit Intex washing machine, loaded the machine as normal, closed the door and pressed start but nothing happened, the door was still locked after 10 mins of waiting then all but 2 if the lights started flashing and the machine sounded like it was trying to fill or drain. The only way to open the door is to unplug the machine and wait for the door to unlock, if left closed and then plugged back in the door will then lock itself without trying to start the program. I have had a look through previous fixes but can't find the answer to this, any ideas please?
