Hi, I have a Bosch maxx 6 code "WAB28161GB/01". I moved from the UK to the Dominican Republic and have tried to use the machine since I have moved. I am on 220v so that is not the issue as you can choose both 110 and 220 here. there now seems to be a problem with the machine finishing cycles. It worked the last time I used it in London before the move so maybe in transit it got knocked about and something became dis-attached? It washes fine, gets to the right temperature etc. The problem seems to be that is does not want to spin and drain properly at the end of the cycles. It has done a 90 degree white wash and I saw the drain pump work halfway through that cycle but then at the end it gets stuck on washing and hangs on 1 min remaining for a long long time. I have opened the filter and it is not blocked. The impeller spins fine. So at the moment I need to take out the clothes wet and rinse myself in the sink and then empty the filter drain to release the water. Very tiresome! But weird as I have seen the pump work with the 90 degree wash when it was at 40 mins remaining? Any help please would be appreciated! As I now live in the middle of nowhere and getting spares will be tricky, so if there is a way to reset the machine or something I can physically do to get it working would be great!

Hanging on 1 minute is very common on washing machines with an open circuit heating element. Try checking the wires to the heater and see if you can test it with a continuity test meter.

Thanks, I will test them, I am sure the heater is quite easy to find inside, I will consult online to see where it is. The other thing is that during the cycles it goes from wash to rinse without pumping out the wash water. So the pump does start to work when there is no backup off water when I just start a spin and drain cycle by itself after taking out the water directly from the filter. But it doesn’t like to start if there is already a backup of water, weird. I will check the continuity of the water heater today and let’s see what it says. Thanks.
