John Lewis give 2 year guarantee on white goods appliances

Hi all,

My Indesit IWDD7143 washer dryer has developed a rather peculiar issue where the drying part of the Express Wash & Dry cycle fails about two or three minutes in with an F13 error.

I have replaced the NTC sensor in the heater assembly, and also cleaned the fan as it had quite a bit of fluff build up.

Running a dry-only cycle or drying after any other programme works with no problems at all. I'm out of ideas on this one, hope someone can help!

Cheers,

Fraser

The info I have, which is pretty old now though, says F13 is NTC faulty or dryer fan not running. If you've replaced the NTC at top of machine under lid check the connections. Double check the fan is running when it goes into dry after the wash cycle. If the fan is running, blockages can cause it to overheat such as build up around the fan (which you've checked) or maybe down in the condenser chamber where the air is blown to mix with the stream of water to condense into water. Make sure there is a trickle of water running into the condenser chamber as if it fails the whole thing will steam up and overheat.
