Any clue what this animation on a Neff V5340X2GB display means?

The display on my Neff Washing machine continuously shows this animation.

 

 

Any clue what it means?

It starts this as soon as I power it on and turn the dial to any program. It never ends. I've left it on for over a day, and it still goes on like this. I've also tried to leave the machine unplugged for a a couple of days, and tried again. Same result.

Not seen it before but it looks like potentially waiting for the door to be closed before turning on properly. Do you know what it usually displayed before the door was closed?
