Willow19
Hello I bought this whirlpool machine a couple of weeks ago: 3LWTW4705FW It’s hot and cold supply. The appliance specialist who sold me it told me to arrange a hot supply. I did that but it’s off a small electric water heater used for a sink. He fitted the machine. Now there’s an issue with the capacity of the heater as I could smell burning plastic. Is there any way of telling how big a heater you need to run the machine? The manual isn’t helpful other than pressure figures. Also, could a Y piece be used to make the two inlets use cold supply? I’ve read that this works in other machines. thank you! Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted March 29, 2019 Root Admin Report Share Posted March 29, 2019 Hello there. You do not need a hot water supply to run a hot and cold washing machine. Obviously it is designed to use hot water, so ideally yes you should have a hot water supply. But my article here explains how you can happily use such a washing machine with just one cold water supply Washing machine is a hot and cold fill, but I only have a cold water supply Need a repair or spare parts?
