When I first start my Grundig Washing Machine it starts with water intake for about 6-9 times stopping 10 seconds into each cycle. After a message pops up saying safety and switches off. At the back there a black box that does a double 'click" noise after each cycle. It's all dry inside of the machine. Thanks

I presume it doesn't say anything about this message in the instruction manual? It's a very unhelpful message they display. The 1st thing I would think of is it detects a leak but if you've already looked inside and there was no water in the base plate than maybe not. I know that Grundig refer to their transit bolts as safety bolts. So if it was a brand-new machine I would suspect maybe it detected that the transit bolts have not been removed, but if you been using it sometime and they are definitely not still there then again that doesn't sound like the problem. The only other safety issue at such an early stage of the wash cycle is electrical. But if it was electrical you'd expect it to shut off.

Thanks Andy.   Nothing in the manual at all.   The machines has been with us for about 3 years.   I refuse to pay 25p  for their 0845 number.  I have tried to contact them via email but they are ignoring me.   hmmm

Have you tried to find their official website? There may be more information on their website about the fault. I'm very unfamiliar with Grundig washing machines so I don't have their site but it might be on their manual somewhere or on something that you received when you bought it.
