Tishtish Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 My Samsung washer displayed a 4E error, it’s filling and working in the rinse cycle but nothing else, checked water supply, saw the soluloid was completely rusted so replaced, still nothing, replaced pressure switch, still not working in other cycles, still showing 4E code. Any suggestions please,
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted February 21, 2018 Root Admin Posted February 21, 2018 Sorry for late reply. According to my information the error 4E on the Samsung washing machine is a water supply error. It says that if no change in water level is detected inside two minutes when on fill by the pressure switch then it will trigger this error. So basically it is waiting for water to be sensed inside the washing machine, which is what the pressure system does. So generally speaking I would expect no water to be going into the washing machine. If water is going into the washing machine, but it is still triggering this error then the first thing I would check is that the water isn't running straight down the drain which can happen under certain circumstances (siphoning). If there was a blockage at the bottom of the pressure chamber then this would also prevent the pressure switch from switching on. In this last scenario you should expect to see water filling up inside the drum, getting higher and higher until it over fills. All of the scenarios I mention are covered in the following articles - If no water is going into the machine at all check Washing machine won’t fill with water If water is going into the washing machine but doesn't seem to rise very high in the drum check this article - Washing machine fills and drains at same time If water is going into the washing machine but the drum doesn't start turning and the level just seems to get higher check these articles - How a washing machine controls water levels Faults on pressure system How to clear a blocked pressure system Need a repair or spare parts?
