Hi,

I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone has any information on our trusty Dyson CR02.

I have looked after this machine for quite a few years after Dyson stated they were not supporting it anymore..

I have changed the rectifier and associated fuse a few years ago and also fixed the troublesome micro switch for the outer door.

The latest problem appeared as a nasty grinding noise and then no rotation of the drum.

On removing the rear panel the drive belt had come off.

|The drum rotates fairly easily anticlockwise but clockwise it appears to catch on something.

The machine is still in it's original configuration with the contrarotating still working. ( it had a new display and board when it was a couple of years old also)

I have  a good understanding of most things mechanical and electrical, so any pointers would be most welcome.

Thank you.

Hello Dave. Yes it was a great shame about the Dyson washing machine. I really liked it. I had one myself too. It was a very different machine to all the others. There are some Dyson enthusiasts who have a Facebook group dedicated to this washing machine. I would suggest searching for, "dyson cr01 repair" on Facebook. These people are clearly very keen on this washing machine and someone amongst them will possibly have experience of this issue. However if parts are no longer available it might be impossible to repair it.
