Hotpoint Washing Machine WMUD 9427 Not filling with water

Our Hotpoint WMUD 9427 washing machine recently gave a F05 fault code, after cleaning out the pump filter, pump and flushing through all the hoses I'm now seeing a problem when I try to start any new cycle. The door locked symbol appears as soon as I close the door (which shouldn't be happening until the cycle actually starts) and no water gets brought into the machine. I've carried out a spin cycle after first putting a bucket of water into the drum. This proved that the water drained out and the spin cycle appeared to be carried out correct. Any other cycle I start doesn't do what it should except count down the timer. I should shut the door, press start, at which point the door should lock and water show flow into the drum, not happening.

Any advice you've got would be most appreciated.
