Miele novotronic fills with water when off

Hi everyone my daughter has a Miele 

novotronic premier plus we brought it second hand and was a bargain but she has said that when switched off 

overnight the machine fills up into the drum so is there a fault with the inlet       solnoid valve not seating ? 

Has anyone else come across this fault   before
