Hi Andy,

Firstly, I went through the test sequence and it skipped the drum tests presumably as the motor isn't working; the belt is fine. It isn't a brush motor this one and if it isn't this problem, it is probably something I cannot fathom. I am not a fitter, but being diagnostic. It is doing the fill sequence and draining, so the water pump is fine. @ £168 for a new drum motor, I think I have a costly repairable machine, but I can get one for £25 second hand online and it is only a few bolts, i.e problem solved. The pcb is another issue, but it must be working to get the test sequence.. I did find a link to 0417 as a bearing set, but I didn't understand why. I can no longer find the link.

Thanks for your feedback

Hi, if it doesn't have carbon brushes and the belt is ok that leaves various connection faults or the main pcb or other faults on the motor. It's best to get an engineer to diagnose if you can't see anything. Definitely a gamble just buying parts and hoping although you might consider £25 not too much of a gamble as long as it's definitely the same motor.
