Damo6969 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 HI all, my washing machine has developed a fault and I have basically narrowed it down to either the selector switch or the pcb, any advice please Basically when I select a wash program it's doing strange things on some programs it starts to fill but then empties and the dial starts going round and round on other programmes it fills does it's wash but then won't move on to drain and spin cycles. If I don't put it on a wash cycle but put it on a rinse or spin cycle it works as it should, this is what makes me think it's a problem with pcb or selector switch Any advice please Cheers Damon
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted April 20, 2016 Root Admin Posted April 20, 2016 Hi, it could be various different things. When it aborts the program and the dial starts clicking round it's because it's detected a fault somewhere. More sophisticated washing machines will produce an exact error code but many basic washing machines just have this crude behaviour which tells very little other than something is wrong.
