Hi, I have error E40 on Electolux EWG1440W washing machine and the door interlock switch is black so I guess I need to replace this. The bit that goes into the interlock switch is also black. Does anyone know what this part is called so that I can buy this part too?

Error E40 "Door open, Interlock, wiring, or main PCB", so although a faulty door interlock is the most likely it's not necessarily the fault.The part that fits inside the interlock shouldn't need replacing unless it is obviously broken, in which case the door interlock may be ok because the door catch's job is to fit inside the interlock and activate it.
