JennyB Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Hi, I have a Daewoo DWDG124KC washing machine. I have noticed recently that when selecting cotton 40 or 60 degree wash, that somewhere mid cycle the dashboard changes to cold and the remaining of the wash which can be up to 30 minutes is cold. Is this normal or should the wash maintain its temperature throughout whole cycle? Thank you for your help.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted March 30, 2015 Root Admin Posted March 30, 2015 I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you say the dashboard changes to cold. Do you mean it actually says cold in the display? Need a repair or spare parts? Book a Repair | Spares4Appliances WARNING: Read this before attempting any diy repairs. JennyB Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 Hi, When it starts the red button is on 40 degree, at some point half way through the cycle, the red button changes to the cold and you can feel that the washing machine is cold. I am emailed Daewoo and they are saying is a fault and I should contact them. The washing machine is out of warranty however and we cannot find the receipt, typically. thank you
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted March 31, 2015 Root Admin Posted March 31, 2015 Hello Jenny. Thank you for the update. Are you thinking you might need the receipt to make a complaint about it breaking down? If it's out of guarantee of course you don't need it but if you are wanting to claim it shouldn't have broken down so soon then the receipt is necessary to show how old it is. If you can't find it make sure you check old bank and credit card statements which should do the job if you could find it there. Please keep us informed as to what happens so that other people experiencing the same fault will be to find out what it was and what was needed to fix it. Need a repair or spare parts? edhorwood Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Hi, not certain if this is what you are asking, but my Hotpoint machine does its main wash on hot, but the rest of the cycle is cold (rinsing).
