rach88 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 hi, just wondering if it is normal for my hotpoint washing machine to fill with hot water, yet the door only feels warm, sometimes lukewarm, onsay a 60 dgree wash when the water is really hot on fill. many thanks for reading
edhorwood Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 can do, depends on the door. My hotpoint door has 2 layers of plastic with air in between.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted January 19, 2015 Root Admin Posted January 19, 2015 Aye, these days water levels on wash are so low that hot water doesn't really splash much onto the door. If the machine finishes the cycle in normal time and laundry is clean it should be working ok. Need a repair or spare parts? rach88 Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 oh yeah both answers make sense, however I stopped the machine while there was still water in the drum (I know technically meant to let it finish cycle) and the water was luke warm. it appears to be washing clothes as normal and does the cycles as nomal and in normal time, is this normal?
edhorwood Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 There are 2 possibilities here, depending when you stopped the machine. Firstly the heating element hadn't had a chance to do its job yet. Secondly the water had a chance to cool given enough time. You certainly shouldn't be able to touch water which is 60 degrees in temperature. Whitegoodshelp 1
