shymanuk Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Hi i have a hotpoint wd865 , it goes through the cycle ok but when it comes to dry it heats up ok but the clothes end up coming out wetter than when it started, ive checked the outlet hose and cleaned also the pump and the filter with the ball in it. it seems to me to be when the water enters the condensor or to clean the filter that its that water that is staying in the base of machine , any ideas ?

shymanuk Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 hi, had a look throught there , cheers, but thought about this some more and checked mine with my dads unit (same machine) mine is doing a different run cycle to his when on drying, mine adds water at the start like its doing a wash program. as where his is just no fast spinning just the correct drying program, could it be the program board has had it or that the water inlet valve has become corroded ?
edhorwood Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 If the water inlet valve was at fault wouldn't the water just keep gushing in or never gush in? Sounds like an electrical problem to me. Have you had the machine apart recently?
