Hello - I am in desperate need of help and would be most grateful if anyone could give me a solution to my problem.

I have a Hoover WDYN855D machine. Today I had a load of laundry in and after it had finished I turned it off. I had another load to put in, but when I went to choose which cycle, the LCD display started to flash, illegibly. I tried turning it off and back on again, but no luck. I cannot choose a cycle so the machine is not able to work and also as the display flashes it makes a little click noise with each flash.

Please can someone help? I won't be able to wait for an engineer for next week and can't call out a costly one in the meantime.

Please help.

Try it in a totally different wall socket just in case it's a power supply problem but otherwise an engineer would need to troubleshoot it.
