rmiddlemass Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Hi there I'm hoping someone can help me here. My machine stopped operating and I could not open the door. I unplugged the electric supply, opened the lid to see if I could see anything obvious wrong. At the top right of the machine near a control card there is a loose green wire and I cannot see where this has came from. Does anyone have any advice or a photo of an opened machine that will give me a clue as to where this wire could have came from so that I can possibly fix it Thank you in advance Ralph
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted September 22, 2014 Root Admin Posted September 22, 2014 Hi. A photo of the wire and its surroundings might help. rmiddlemass Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 Hi there Thank you for replying. I have since looked again and the green wire is not a green wire at all but merely a filer. I looked at it closer and noticed it wasn't a conductor. I have since noticed that the plastic ribbon that goes to the front panel has a nasty scratch/crease in it and I think that is what is causing my problem. Is there any way to repair this or replace this? Regards Ralph
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted September 24, 2014 Root Admin Posted September 24, 2014 If you mean the ribbon of wires, finding parts like that can be difficult as they rarely need replacing. You need to work out how it came to be like that, has it been catching somewhere or hit by the drum? See if you can find the spare part on my Ransom Spares but you are unlikely to see a picture of such a rare part. Need a repair or spare parts?
